Today i had to put books away again and the movies. i also got to ride the elevator when i had to bring a cart downstairs with books and movies in it. i felt happy to help the librarians with all of the books and movies because they are pretty old and it is pretty hard for them to move around.

Libaray assistaint
December 7,2009
today i had to put away a lot of books in the children's section as well as the adult area. it made me feel like i was helping them a lot and being a pretty good volunteer since i had put away so many books thus i had felt good after all the books were put away.
December 14,
today we didn't have as many books to put away but i did get to help them make x-mas tree ornaments and it put me in a happy mood by helping them. it also made me feel like i was making a difference at that library with all of my good ideas.
December 21,
again we focused mainly on selling the x-mas tree ornaments in order to use the money to help better fund the library. this made me feel important because i was helping my community by selling them hand made ornaments.
December 28,
after Christmas i had to make paper glasses for the kids at the new years eve party. this was really tedious work since i had to cut out every ******** piece of paper but at least it was mindless work so i could pass the time by listening to music.
January 5, 2010
today i had a plethora of homework to do so i could not stay for the full 2hrs and it made me feel bad because they still had work to do and i was not there to help them.
January 12,
today we had the shelves packed with books that had to be put away. it made me feel a little overwhelmed at first but good at the same time because i knew that if i didn't do it then they would have to thus it made me feel good that i could help them out.

Helping Mr.Hyer with the smart board
12/11/09
today Mr.Hyer and I were working on the smartboard in his classroom. we first had to take the screen off the wall and set it on the floor so that it wouold be safe and would not get damaged when i was taking all of the screws out of the back of it to make drill holes for a piece of metal that would hold the smart board to the wall so it would not be knocked down if it was hit with a backpack. However, i was only able to get half of it done before i had to leave and get my I.D. but i look foreward to finishing it on moonday.

today we had brought all of our food into room 205 where all members of SOI and even some not had all gotten together and shared all of the food.

library 11/16/09
today was my second time vouluntering at the library and today we had made little figurens out of a dough which would be baked so it would keep its shape and be hung on a x-mas tree. we had alot of fun we all made jokes and listened to saturday night live digital shorts while we worked so over all it was a fun time.

i am planning on how many supplies i am going to need for Thursday and i am going to ask everyone to bring in supplies Tuesday for Thursday. i am doing this because i feel that it is important for a family to have a thanksgiving day.

SoI 11/12/09
today we had gotten together and decided we were only going to work on the day of food rather then trying ot get another bake sale going. i feel this is a good idea because we were going to try and have a get together and all of us eating and drinking together while panning for later in the year.
Library volunteer

today was my first experience at the library volunteering and it was interesting to see what they had to do on a normal everyday baises. Today i had to put all of the books on the shelves where they had to go and i was tought how to check books in with the computer and how to check them out.

SOI meeting 10/22/09
today we discussed whether or not we were going to have a giant food extravaganza after midterms or before thanksgiving vacation. We contributed by giving ideas on the time and classroom on where to have it. I feel this is a good idea because it will get students more interested in organic food.

Soi Bake sale 10/09/09
we had planned to sell goods today and we did. i was a part of the selling force while some of the others were in charge of getting the food.i had to meet the other sellers at break right next ot the stairs and attempt to sell tea and browines. lukily we were able sell $25.00 worth of tea and snacks. this is good because we had not sold all of our supply so we were able to make a profit and not have to restock.

we had our first meeting today and had decided on when we were going ot have our first bake sale and decided how long we had wanted meetings to be in the future.

We had our second meeting where we had read aloud a document on the positives of eating organic food and we then planned our bake sale during break this week and who was going ot do what.

we had met and decided that friday october 9th we were finally going to have our bake sale and we made sure that everyone knew what they were doing.

we sold hot organic tea and browines and cookies during break today and we were able to make $25.00

Eagle Scout Project
July 6, I had to go buy 13, 10ft planks of white pine, galvanized nails and screws for the bird houses.
July 12, 1:00PM 9 Boy Scouts came to my house to help build the bird houses. I explained how I wanted them put together and what they were going to look like. all of the boys finished the 12 bird houses around 2:45PM and now all i have to do is set them up in west Barnstable.
July 26, after calling and reminding the scouts two days before no one showed up at the Fire Station at 10:00AM except for one of the kids parents. The parent my dad and I had put up all of the bird houses in about 45min and then my dad and I disposed of the old Bird Houses at the dump.
August 01, Rewriting my Eagle Workbook for the council.
August 15, recieved my scout masters confrence for eagle and now need one more signature for my workbook to sign up for a bord of review in september.
August 22, went to Karel, Darcey and got her to fill in the last signature.
